The webinar will discuss two complementary approaches to change engineering practice in transport in response to climate change.  The approaches discussed are Climate Change Adaptation, by Professor Michael Taylor and Transition Engineering, by Professor Susan Krumdieck.

Adaptation refers to alternative frameworks for adapting to climate change in the planning, provision and management of transport systems.

Transition Engineering is a systematic methodology to help engineers deal with changing unsustainable activities. It applies concepts of risk management to managing climate change, peak oil and other resource depletion challenges.
